Zoomies On Saturday

Dear Dog Friends, Book Lovers (and friends who like dogs and books),

A quick note to remind that Carlie and I will be doing a special dog-friendly signing of THROUGH THICK AND THIN this Saturday, September 29:

Zoomies
434 Hudson Street
12:00 - 2:00
All Dogs Welcome

Zoomies is, hands down, my favorite dog store in the world.  In addition to visiting with Carlie, you can also pick up some excellent things for your four-legged friends.

And while we're on the subject, herewith two pictures of Carlie at her recent Amanda Jones photo shoot.  Look how into it she is:

I'm off / More things about dogs

I'm heading up to North Adams, Massachusetts today to interview the terrific photographer Amanda Jones, whose studio is on the campus of MASS MoCA, a museum I've always wanted to see.  And I've rented a Prius for the drive.  Really looking forward to it.

Carlie's coming with, and as much as I tried to hide it from her, she has already spied the overnight bag.  When this happens she gets nervous I'm going somewhere without her and immediately begins playing a long, drawn-out game of what I like to call, "No Carlie Left Behind."  As soon as she sees a bag, she will not let me walk one step without her being right behind me.  It can make for a long morning, so I should get going...

Also, just wanted to be sure everyone knew that my dog-friendly booksigning at Zoomies, is next Saturday, the 29thNot this one.  I'll be sure to be repeat myself on that next week...

And lastly, here's a link to an interview with me on the blog of fellow Berkley author, Eileen Cook.  She has a Westie, too.

See you soon....

Happy Carlie Day!

Pict0002_2_3 After a sad day in New York yesterday, today a very happy one.

Today is Carlie's one-year anniversary in New York.  It was a year ago today that I drove five hours to Cape May, New Jersey and five hours back to get her.  Oh the time, it flies when you're having fun.

In celebration, we spent an extra long time in the park this morning, and I scrambled her an egg.  Send Carlie love on her special day...
